George Baird Hodge

George Baird Hodge (8 April 1828 - 1 August 1892) was born in Fleming County, Kentucky. Son-in-law of John Wooleston Tibbatts. Candidate for U.S. Representative from Kentucky 10th District, 1853; member of Kentucky State legislature, 1859; Delegate from Kentucky to the Confederate Provisional Congress, 1861-62; Representative from Kentucky in the Confederate Congress, 1862-64; General in the Confederate Army during the War Between the States; member of Kentucky State senate, 1873-77. Died in Longwood, Orange County, Florida. Original interment somewhere in Seminole County, Florida; reinterment in 1903 at Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate, Kentucky.
